When selecting an alternative, prioritise cables with low resistance and low capacitance, using high conductivity materials such as copper or silver. This ensures consistent electrical behaviour across the audible frequency range, preventing unintended tonal shifts and maintaining transparency. Materials with higher resistivity can slightly reduce driver control in low impedance systems.
We advise against coaxial cable constructions. Their higher distributed capacitance can interact with low impedance drivers, forming an unintended electrical filter that may cause high frequency roll off and altered phase behaviour.
